Technical Developments :construction_worker_man:

Infrastructure

Instant finality V2 and Block time Reduction code were being run on testnet, everything is still working as expected and will potentially be released on mainnet next week, consequently:

  • Instant Finality V2: will help reduce the processing time of Swap (with external DEXs) and Unshielding inside Incognito chain.

  • Block time Reduction: will help reduce transaction’s wait time in mempool.

Incognito will achieve the first goal (Speed) in the Q3 roadmap as the two improvements are released and the UX will be significantly improved then.

Web-based Products

  • Wallet Extension: is being upgraded to comply with Chrome Extension Store’s Manifest V3 as its prerequisite for a new extension to be submitted to the store. Due to the new Manifest’s breaking changes, the team had to redesign the workflow and responsibility of the extension’s components. Fortunately, the new design seems to be feasible from a technical perspective.

  • Web-based Swap: the swap function that goes hand in hand with the Wallet Extension is also being developed aggressively. We’re really excited to bring the swap to the web environment so that users can have another option to use.

Bridges

Implementation for Aurora and Avalanche bridges has been starting for a week now. They are expected to be launched by the end of the month.

Growth Efforts :chart_with_upwards_trend:

  • Exposure: Do you know that Incognito is one of the few places where you can trade privately and swap DASH anonymously, you can spread the word about Incognito, just like the DASH Community here!

  • Validators: We are pushing forward with ThreeFold, Akash Network, and Flooyd in order to host our vNodes on those websites, so that our users can stake in them, and earn extra in this market condition!

That’s all for this week’s update. Thank you everyone for your contribution to the network and community.

See you around.
