Vnode set up for newbie to code

I’m not the least tech savvy but would love to run a Vnode and I’m looking for a beginner way or links to places where I can get a ELI5 of how to set it up, if that exists. I’m not computer illiterate and I’m familiar with computer systems, it’s more I look at code and it seems foreign.
