I would like to dedicate this thread to the discussion of running an Incognito vNode on something other than a server.
I understand there was some work put into getting a vNode to run on a SBC (single board computer) but I don’t believe it ever was released or fully working.
I had an idea to run a vNode alongside other applications I have running on my SBC’s. I participate in a crypto network called Skynet (Cryptocurrency coin is Skycoin if you’re interested in reading more). You run 8 nodes and parse internet traffic for their Network. Very interested in self hosting my vNodes and running 1 node per SBC alongside Skynet.
Has anyone tried running a vNode on something other than a standard computer or server and had luck getting things running? I attempted to run a node on a Rock64 board with 4Gb ram and preinstalled docker with no luck.
