Unsupported ERC20 tokens on Incognito

ERC20 tokens are becoming increasingly popular. We’ve received many requests about adding rebase tokens (AMPL, YAM, etc…) and modified smart contract tokens (DGX, PAXG, etc…).

As the Incognito bridge is trustless, anyone can transfer ERC20 tokens across by interacting directly with the chain. This means that anyone can add any ERC20 with a rebase feature.

However, we do NOT recommend doing so as Incognito’s minting/burning process does not play well with rebase mechanisms. Our current smart contract doesn’t support those tokens that take the incentives for every transaction, too.

Going forward, to protect user funds, these coins will not appear in the app at all.

What is wrong with PAXG? It’s not a rebase currency afaik

PAXG is as important as DAI for a good portfólio!

Hey @marko @Iksolon, the original owner of PAXG token will take the incentives of 0.02% of every single transaction sending to our network, which results in the amount we actually receive doesn’t match with the one we receive in the smart-contract.

We will try to improve this ASAP so that we can support these kinds of token in near future. Thanks for asking tho :+1:

It’s under the (2 Modified Smart Contract section

WHY then are my LiteCoin and COMP stuck in your app with NO WAY to excel? It is impossible to buy privacy coin, which makes it impossible to get my money out. This is turning into a SCAM APP

Use the getPRV.com faucet to get some free PRV. Should be enough for 10 trade or shield/unshield transactions.

Thanks for sharing this!

Hm, just tried it and got 0,00001 PRV. Is this sufficient for ten trades?

A trade is 0.0000004PRV so about 25 trades

Wow, 25 trades, that’s SUFFICIENT. :+1: :sunglasses:

It’s not a scam it’s actually a good system you get PRV by using USDC, now to get your tokens out of the exchange you gotta have enough PRV available. So I good solution would be to add enough USDC to trade for PRV so you can withdraw or you can pool your crypto and earn free PRV to use for withdraw. Either way the system works compared to current ETH gas prices :man_shrugging:t5:

Quant Token (QNT) seems to be available in the app for shielding as an unverified token.

Can anyone confirm this ERC20 token is compatible with Incognito and that we will be able to shield/unshield without issues as needed?
