In the white-paper there are the validators and there are the beacons.
Are the validators the only component that will be allowed to be operated by the public and that earns a reward?
If the beacons will also be opened up, do you have any specs for these and who will be allowed to operate them? I assume there is a higher level of staking that would be needed?

You can not run a Beacon Chain yourself yet.
