(Solved) Got 0 PRV from faucet

I got 0 PRV from faucet, the transaction completed successfully but the amount was 0. Tried twice, got same results both times.

Not sure how else to get PRV? Is this expected behavior?

Hello @Rhdine,

The value shows as 0 (zero) due to your app settings. Please go into the app settings and toggle “Decimal Digits” make sure this is set to Off (left position). Now you should be able to go back into assets and swipe down from the top to refresh.

Ok, that fixed it. But I’m not sure I understand the point now. I got some tiny amount of PRV and it’s nowhere near enough to be able to send even a single DAI or dollars worth of ETH out of my incognito wallet. The fee is literally 100+% of the value I’m trying to send out. How does this make sense?

Things on the ETH platform use smart contracts to perform transactions, so the fee’s can be quite high. You can either pay the cost in ETH or PRV. The fee is not in both coins, but whichever one you choose. BTC can sometimes also have high exit fees. XMR is by far the cheapest to leave the platform. (and has a lot of liquidity) I had some ETH I wanted to move, and it was like $90 for the transaction fee (Gas fees were high). I converted all my ETH into XMR and sent it to changelly to turn it…

Why the extremely high fee to send YFI out of incognito

That question has been asked and answered at least 100 times. ETH fees are high, using a smart contract increases it even more. None of this money goes into Incognito pockets. The ETH miners are the ones earning from this.
