I am trying to withdraw funds from a exchange and used the shielding address. Once I started the transaction the exchange says theres 24 hr hold because of a new address. What happens in this case when the address expires?

When an address expires and you send funds to it, theres a button on the transaction history that says Retry by hitting this button you are able to receive the funds in the correct account.
