Integrations and collaborations with other blockchains and currencies (Lena)

What privacy problem are you solving?

At the moment, we have more than 300 coins supported in the Incognito Wallet and 50 trading pairs in the pDEX. However, most token holders aren’t even aware they have the option to transact or hold their tokens privately. Incognito lacks awareness at scale in the crypto community, which slows expansion and development, and, if not solved, can raise concerns about the future of the project.

What is the solution?

To remedy this is simple.
We need to be everywhere.

Incognito, the community that fights for privacy, is cooperative in its very nature. If we want scale, we need to go all-in on our strengths. As a solution, I see:

  • Implementation with existing DEX projects to help them onboard Incognito and create promotions about the collaboration using both projects’ social outlets.
  • Hosting AMAs with top 50 CMC projects, to help shed light on how the Incognito privacy tool works, and help people understand why privacy is an important issue in the crypto world.
  • Reaching out to supported coins to cross-promote.
  • Integrations with other privacy projects to reach users who are already proactive about their privacy rights.

For example, we can connect with Brave Browser. They share our convictions regarding user rights:

We should stop allowing users to be tracked, users should own their own data.

A mutually beneficial collaboration would thus be “privacy mode” for BAT tokens. All projects are unique, and Incognito is open to finding the best privacy solution for each project and community.

Which solutions do people resort to because this doesn’t exist yet?

So far, we’ve been sharing updates across our social media channels, and relying on our existing community to share the project with people they know. Without a clear strategy for gaining external awareness however, we could struggle with declining interest, engagement and traction. Incognito is a fundamentally collaborative project, and this proposal aims to make that value proposition abundantly clear.

Who are you?

I am Lena, I help with outreach and raising awareness on the Incognito Project. I’m working with @Andrey and @Ducky and we do our best to make Incognito the next big thing. :muscle:

Why do you care?

Incognito protects privacy for everyone. Solving the awareness issue will offer privacy to those who want it but didn’t even know they had the option.

What’s your plan? What’s your schedule?

Here are the specific objectives and key results for 3 months (February, March, April). Every week, I will send updates as replies to this topic, so the community can track the results.

Objective Raise awareness in the crypto community
Key result Get 50 partnerships: pDEX listing and integration into Incognito Wallet.
Key result Integration with Brave browser.
Key result 6 AMA with projects from top 50 CMC.

What’s your budget?

To incentivize quality participation in AMAs, I will reward the best questions.

Resource Cost Quantity Montly expenses
Reward for AMA participants (upon request) 400 PRV 2 800 PRV
My PRV salary 1000 PRV 1 1000 PRV

Is there an existing conversation around this idea?

Yes, but this proposal is the first formal initiative that focuses on collaborations with other blockchains and currencies.

Is there anything else you would like the community to know?

If anyone from the community wants to help with finding/executing integrations, feel free to reply to this topic or create your own proposal! Feedback about the current plan is also welcome.

Incognito is delighted to welcome ten new coin listings to the world’s first private decentralized and permissionless exchange, the Incognito pDEX.

DAI, LINK, KEY, MIOTA, MKR, PAX, FTX, SNX, OMG, ENJ and MCO have been added.

All coins are paired with PRV, Incognito’s native coin, with initial liquidity supplied by Incognito.

Holders of these coins will now have the option to hold a privacy version of their favorite coins and tokens, so they can trade and store their assets in total anonymity.

In order to access privacy versions of these assets, users just need to download the Incognito Wallet, available for both Android and iOS. With it, all coins and tokens can be traded for a privacy equivalent at a rate of 1:1, which gives holders the ability to store, send and receive tokens privately. What’s more, they can swap it back any time they like.

More details about the newly listed coins:

  • Maker’s DAI and MKR. DAI is a stablecoin pegged to the USD that can be used to pay for both goods and services, whereas MKR is an Ethereum token that helps sustain the Maker system.

Hey Lena !
Thanks for the update for the past week!

About AMA & Brave integrations form your OKRs. Have we prioritized it down or switched priority on something else ?

Yep, at the moment I decide to switch priority on Blockchain integrations: Ripple, EOS, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, and Tron.

Anyway, we are still planning to make AMA, but maybe a little bit later and in a modified format. I will keep everyone informed and sent details as soon as everything is confirmed.
