In app trading-quick question

Quick question, I understand coins are minted and burned when deposited into incognito, but incognito wallet to incognito wallet does the same minting/burning happen? If so or not what happens and what’s the proper terminology to use?
Thanks!

When a regular crypto coin gets sent into Incognito, it gets shielded.
This shielding process “mints” a pCoin. You can send pCoins to other Incognito wallets just like any other crypto. It uses ring signature technology to make it anonymous. Nothing fancy is really going on here. When a pCoin gets redeemed for it’s regular version, the pCoin gets burned.

So no minting or burning happens with transfers in between Incognito wallets. Only during shielding and unshielding.
