Why use Firo?
Firo is one of the few projects innovating in building privacy protocols and our Lelantus Spark protocol allows holistic high privacy by hiding receiver, sender and amounts with anonymity sets without trusted setup. Our innovations have been used in other privacy projects such as Monero and Beam.
We also have an upcoming Elysium tokenization layer that allows users to create their own coins with Lelantus privacy and also bridge other tokens into it with our partnership with DotOracle.
If approved, we plan on bootstrapping the following pools with our own funds:
Firo <> PRV and Firo <> BNB.
Why FIRO-BEP20 and not native FIRO?
While we would prefer a native Firo integration we understand from the Incognito team that a custom bridge would need to be created for Firo while for FIRO-BEP20, this is a lot easier. It is the intention to work towards a native Firo bridge.
For FIRO-BEP20 this has the added benefit of adding privacy to FIRO-BEP20. FIRO-BEP20 can be converted to native FIRO and vice versa via FiroDEX our cross chain atomic swap powered DEX.
