I transfered some BTC along time ago. IT currently has 44 verifications instead of the normal 6 and its still not showing in my balance.

Go under the app settings and click Clear Balance Cached. Go back into your wallet and swipe down to refresh. Please let me know if this works for you. If not, we can troubleshoot further.
